Alberta Environmental Rubber Products-AERP- is Alberta's largest scrap tire recycling company. Incorporated in 1992, AERP is a privately held company that is wholly owned by Albertans.

Our business involves collection, transportation and processing of scrap tires from across the province and sale of the resulting processed material.

Our Northwest Edmonton processing plant produces a variety of high quality products from shred to rubber crumb. We have become the industry leader through our innovative approaches to production and marketing and are committed to providing the highest quality of product and services available anywhere.

In recognition of the four R's (reduce, reuse, recycle, recover) hierarchy in waste management, we collect scrap tires from all corners of the province, transport them to our plant and process them safely, with an absolute minimum of waste going to landfill. All our output is designed for a specific end use- none is incinerated.

We have developed markets for our products around the world. From the weightlifting venue at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics to rubberized roofing to recreational installations worldwide, our ground rubber crumb is a key component in the manufacture of high grade rubber products.

We have worked with numerous companies and organizations in researching and developing new and innovative products made from a round rubber crumb. Through these collaborative efforts, we have developed three distinct market segments for our product.
